Vacation Bible School 2026
July 20-24
Preschool – 6th Grade
Agency D3: Discover. Decide. Defend.
In today’s world, kids are pressured on all sides to accept what teachers, friends, and society tell them about Jesus. But they don’t need to fall under that pressure! At Agency D3™️, they will become secret agents and investigate for themselves!
Kids will spend the week collecting evidence about the life of Jesus by examining eyewitness accounts, physical proof, and biblical records. They will discover the facts about who Jesus is, decide what to do with the evidence they’ve gathered, and gain the confidence they need to step out in faith and defend what they believe!
Vacation Bible School at Village Church
Vacation Bible School at Village Church is a week-long, immersive experience for children in Preschool – 6th grade, complete with outdoor games, large-group teaching, singing, small group discussion, crafts, and so much more. Each day’s topic and overall week theme will be woven into the activities of the day. Every snack, small group conversation, teaching time, and each stop along your child’s day will offer them a chance to engage their senses in that day’s topic.

Registration FAQs
There will be no on-site registration during the week of VBS.
When is payment due? Full payment is due at the time of registration.
Do you offer any discounts? We offer a $5.00/child discount for households registering more than one child. Registered volunteers with at least one child will get a discount of $10.00/child. Volunteers will receive the discount code in their confirmation email, so be sure to register as a volunteer first! Register by May 31 to receive the early bird pricing.
Can my child attend if they need special accommodations? Yes, based on the child’s needs and the resources we have, we will pursue a conversation with you to make sure that we can offer an environment that meets your child’s needs. You may choose to complete this form if you wish to register a child who needs special accommodations.
Can I request my child be grouped with a friend? Your child will be placed in grade-level teams. We are happy to receive friend requests! While we will do our best to honor those requests, we are unable to guarantee any specific placement.
Week of VBS FAQs
What if my child has food allergies? We care about your child’s safety! Village Church VBS is a nut-free and dye-free event. Please share any food allergies when you register and a VBS volunteer will reach out to you so that we can create a safe snack plan. In the event that we cannot attend to your child’s allergies adequately, you may be asked to provide your own snack.
What safety policies do you have in place? We strictly enforce a two-person policy, meaning that at least two volunteers are with a student at all times. Adults are not permitted to enter any restroom while in use by a student. We also require background checks for each adult volunteer and provide mandatory training for all volunteers.
Where do I drop off my child during the week of VBS? Great question! Drop-off is from 8:45-9:00 a.m. each day. Please walk your child into the church building. Look for a banner that matches the group name on your child’s registration packet. You will receive a personalized pick-up tag from your child’s leader that you will be required to return when you pick your child up that afternoon.
How do I pick up my child? You will pick up your child at the same place you dropped him/her off. Return to your child’s group banner at noon with the pick-up tag you received that morning. To ensure the safety of all children, pick-up tags must be returned to the group leader before a student can be allowed to leave.
What should my child wear? Students should wear the provided VBS t-shirt each day.
What should my child bring? A labeled water bottle, a layer of sunscreen, and a spirit of adventure!
When do I pick up t-shirts? T-shirt & registration packet pick-up will be offered on the weekend before VBS.
What if my child loses a water bottle….or something else? There is a lost and found table in the church foyer. To minimize this problem, please label your child’s water bottle and any other personal items with his/her first and last name.
Health & Cleanliness
Please keep your child home if he/she experiences an elevated temperature within 24 hours of the event, has discharge of green or yellow mucus, complains of a stomachache or other sick feelings, has diarrhea or is vomiting, or has any other symptoms of a communicable, contagious illness. Please monitor your child’s health as well as the health of others living in your household.
I have more questions! Who can I talk to? If you are looking for more information, feel free to email Erica Smith at vbs@vcob.org.
