Living for What Really Matters – Chapter 1

Philippians 1:1-11

We are back to talk about Philippians 1:1-11 and Chapter 1 in Living for What Really Matters. The gift of grace & peace being offered from Paul to the church was discussed because of the power of those words and the relevance in our life in this season.

Lauren shared about being called a bondservant and anchoring self to God. Can we grow in awareness of self by asking ourselves more frequently if I am being a “bondservant”?

Julie shared about the power of love and comparing earthly love with agape love. We are called to love others and agape love flows best from vertical to horizontal to pursue Loving God and Loving Others. “No one is unloveable”.

We transitioned our time with Lauren wearing the “So Whatter” Hat and sharing a number of applications. Fight for joy. Align with the heart of God. Look for God in the hard moments. Know that there is purpose in the hard. When we catch ourselves complaining, use that as a trigger to pray for others, the situations, or ourselves. Pursue authentic conversations with others. We closed the time talking about how God is the one that changes us. He is the one producing identity in us and making us worthy.
