Our Commitment

Our goal in FORGE is to provide a safe, distraction-free, and Christ-centered environment where students can grow in their faith, have fun, build relationships, and fully engage in learning about their faith.

To help us maintain that focus and ensure the safety of all children, we ask you to follow these guidelines:

Personal Device Policy

We do permit individual electronic devices with limitations for students during regularly scheduled FORGE activities.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Cell phones
  • Smartphones

These personal devices should remain out of sight (in pockets, bags, purses) for the majority of the night. FORGE  provides notebooks for all students to take notes during our teaching sessions and small groups. Students are encouraged to take appropriate pictures and photo document their experience at FORGE. Students are able to take digital notes on their phones but are not welcome to scroll on their device during worship, teaching, or small groups.

We do NOT permit the following individual electronic devices for students during regularly scheduled FORGE activities:

  • Handheld gaming devices
  • Music devices with internet or messaging access
  • Wearing of Headphones
  • Tablets or iPads or Computers

These personal devices should remain at home or be kept with a parent/guardian during ministry programming.

Why We Have This Policy

Our personal device policy enables us to:

  • Minimize distractions during lessons and activities
  • Promote face-to-face interaction and relationship-building
  • Protect children’s privacy and safety
  • Reduce the risk of inappropriate content sharing
  • Maintain a focused, respectful environment

Communication with Parents

If a parent/guardian needs to reach their child during ministry time, they may:

  • Contact Ryan Chanery or Breanne Fuelling
  • Contact their child’s small group leaders
  • Notify a ministry leader in advance of any special circumstances

In case of emergency, we will contact parents immediately using the information provided through your child’s PCO profile. Students will also be able to use their personal device during an emergency.

Special Circumstances

If a child requires a device for medical or specific, approved needs, parents must notify TEAM FORGE in advance so appropriate arrangements can be made.

Thank you for partnering with us to create a safe and focused environment for all children.
