Thanksgiving Food Drive
Love and serve the community of Bartlett this holiday season by volunteering with the Thanksgiving Food Drive. Each year, we partner with our local Jewel-Osco and our school district to provide Thanksgiving meals to families in the Bartlett area who are in need. Next Gen: Advent Podcasts
All Next Gen ministry participants are invited to contribute to our Advent podcasts. For Village Kids (grades 1-4) and The 5/6 (grades 5-6), sign up to co-host as you prepare your insights and reflections on a specific Bible passage. You are the expert ready to lead us to think through the story of the Messiah, Jesus!
Forge Youth group (grades 7-12) is producing an Advent vodcast, and all Forge students are invited to participate! Each day, one of our students will co-host by helping us process how ‘God being with us’ impacts our thoughts on God, who we are, and how we live.
Village Women: Moms’ Prayer Group
October 26 | 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. | DeAnn Selvaggio’s Home
Moms of adult children, join us for monthly prayer gatherings to connect with other moms in a similar season and lift up your requests to the Lord. Our hope is to encourage mothers of children who are over the age of 18. Please register for this event and we will send you the address.
Baptism Class

Are you interested in learning more about baptism? Are you interested in getting baptized? If so, please join us for our next baptism class for adults. We will meet in Classroom 1.
AWANA: Trunk or Treat
October 28 | 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. | Village Church of Bartlett
Join us for an evening outdoors as we tour the seven days of creation and other scenes from the Bible. All Village Kids are invited to attend this Awana event at 7:15 p.m. We need volunteers to decorate trunks and donate candy. Sign now to lend a hand!
Forge: Costume Party

The costume party is a fun night of team building and connection! Students are invited to dress up for our costume contest. The night will also include a small group pumpkin carving contest!

Making Young Disciples: Habits of the Household
November 4 | 6:15 – 7:45 p.m. | Village Church of Bartlett
Next Gen Director and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Breanne Fuelling will create a community discussion about the Habits of the Household by Justin Whitmel Earley. How we spend our time creates habits that form us. In our time together, we will be identifying the ways we spend the time and culture of our family to ensure they align with our values for building the kingdom of Jesus.

Looking to make some connections on Sunday morning? Stop by after any of the three services to chat with some of the church leaders and learn more about Village Church. Coffee Connections is primarily for newcomers who are looking to connect with a pastor or staff member.
Village Women: Moms’ Meetup
November 14 | 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. | Village Church of Bartlett
Do you want to engage meaningfully in a community for you and your kids? Moms’ Meetup is designed to create an environment of encouragement and deep connection while we honor our faith and our motherhood. This is an opportunity to meet other moms and to also provide connection for your kiddos (homeschool families welcomed). We meet on the second Thursday of the month and we hope you will join us!
Village Women: Advent Book Study
Beginning December 1 | Village Church of Bartlett
You are invited to participate in the study “The God Who is With Us,” which we can all study simultaneously on our own. The December calendar can quickly fill up as we decorate our homes, attend parties, and purchase gifts. It is very easy to miss the heart of Advent. Connect your heart and mind to God, the gospel, and others in this season.
Village Women: Prepare Him Room
December 13 | 6:30 – 9:00 p.m. | Village Church of Bartlett
Join the Village Women for an Advent gathering. We will livestream the Lifeway virtual event, Prepare Him Room. Speaker Jennifer Rothschild will lead us in intentionally making space to seek Jesus amid the holiday season. Throughout the event, you’ll be immersed in an atmosphere of worship, encouragement, and teaching that will inspire you to create room in your heart, home, and community for the transformative power of Jesus Christ.
Forge Winter Retreat 2025
January 3-5, 2025 | Camp Timber-lee
Students are invited to a FORGE (grades 7-12th) Winter retreat at Camp Timber-lee for their Winterxtreme. We went to Camp Timber-lee for a winter retreat two years ago and are so excited to return! Students will enjoy an action-packed weekend filled with indoor and outdoor activities, worship, discipleship, connection, and more.
Legacy Grandparenting Summit 2025
February 21-22 | Village Church of Bartlett
The Legacy Grandparenting Summit in February 2025, themed “For This Purpose,” is designed to inspire and encourage grandparents to embrace their biblical role, provide an incredible experience through top-notch speakers and practical topics, and give great ideas for grandparenting grandchildren of all ages. Participate in this conference virtually by attending this two-day event.
Training For Parents
Find a curated list of resources compiled for parents of young children and students. On the Training For Parents page, you will find technology resources (including a Family Tech and Cell Phone Agreement), book recommendations, video training from Making Young Disciples classes, and much more. It is our prayer that these resources will equip you to provide ongoing discipleship for the children and students in your home.
