AWANA meets Monday nights during the school year to engage in large-group teaching, small-group discipleship, and game time. At Village Church, AWANA engages Cubbies (Ages 3-4), Sparks (Grades K-2), and T&T (Grades 3-6). Find descriptions for each age group below:

Cubbies (Ages 3-4): Cubbies introduces kids to Bible memorization in a fun and nurturing environment, including games, puppet shows, crafts, and snacks. Students have lots of fun hiding God’s word in their hearts!

Sparks (Grades K-2): Sparks builds on the foundation that Cubbies laid, while deepening their understanding of the Bible. There are games, small group and large group times, and lots of meaningful connection!

Discover Village

Beginning July 28 | 9:45 – 10:50 a.m. | Village Church of Bartlett

Please join us for a four-week class to learn more about Village Church, including our vision, values, ministries, and more! Attending Discover Village is your first step toward becoming a member of the Village Church of Bartlett. This class will meet on Sunday mornings at 9:45 a.m. in Classroom One.

Summer Picnic & Baptisms

August 4 | 4:00  p.m. | Antioho Home

All ages are invited to this During the summer, we get outdoors for a monthly, late afternoon, church-wide picnic at Dave & Julie Antioho’s house (30W393 Army Trail Rd., Wayne, IL 60184). These picnics are a great time to connect with others and enjoy food, games, and swim time. Here is a brief timeline that you can expect for the evening. At 4:00, we will begin baptisms followed by a time of open swim. Please arrive by 5:00 p.m. to drop off your food and get set up so we can eat at 5:15. The pool will open again after dinner for open swim. If this is your first time joining us, here are some important things you need to know.

• It’s a potluck, so please bring a main dish and a dessert or side dish to share.
  • If your last name starts with A-L, bring a dessert.
  • If your last name starts with M-Z, bring a side.
• Bring something to sit on (a picnic blanket, camping chairs, etc.), disposable eating utensils (plates, cutlery, napkins), and bathing suits for the open swim time.

Village Men: Summer Bash

August 6 | 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. | Village Church of Bartlett

Men, join us for an evening of outdoor fellowship and recreation. We are looking forward to playing some outdoor games (can anyone say Bags?!) while enjoying some brats and a bonfire. We will also give you a preview of what to expect this fall in Men’s Ministry – specifically First Tuesday. So bring your own chair and join us on Tuesday evening for this night of connection and fellowship.

Village Women: Moms’ Meetup

August 8 | 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. | Local Park (Village Church of Bartlett if weather requires)

Do you want to engage meaningfully in a community for you and your kids? Moms’ Meetup is designed to create an environment of encouragement and deep connection while we honor our faith and our motherhood.  This is an opportunity to meet other moms and to also provide connection for your kiddos (homeschool families welcomed). We meet on the second Thursday of the month and we hope you will join us!

Forge Summer Missions Recap Night

August 29 | 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. | Village Church of Bartlett

The whole church is invited to a special evening at Forge. Come hear firsthand accounts from students of how the Lord worked in and through them over the course of their mission trips this summer. We want to rally around these students and celebrate God’s work through their trips to Crandon, local experiences on Edge in Bartlett, international endeavors in Mexico, and their week of ministry at VBS. No registration is required and all ages are invited to attend.
