At Village Kids, both our Preschool and Elementary programs use their own respective versions of the Hyfi Curriculum created by Lifeway Christian Resources.

Hyfi is a fun, engaging curriculum that remains deeply rooted in the Bible. It’s goal is to help children understand who they are because of who Christ is. Pairing seamlessly with Village Kid’s vision to raise kid disciples who know God loves them, know who God says He is and who God created them to be. Through teaching and activities, kids learn 12 core biblical truths that shape their identity in Christ and help them grow in their faith.

Each week includes biblically sound teaching, engaging media, games, and discussion, with every lesson pointing clearly to Jesus and sharing the gospel. Rather than moving chronologically through the Bible, Hyfi uses a balanced mix of Old and New Testament stories to teach these important truths.

A central focus of the curriculum is relationships. We strive to create a culture of belonging where every child feels welcomed, valued, and included—whether they attend every week or are visiting for the first time. Kids do not need prior church experience or Bible knowledge to participate and feel at home in Village Kids.

Through this approach, our ministry aims to:

• Teach 12 biblical truths that help kids understand their identity in Christ
• Provide biblically sound teaching with a clear picture of Jesus and the gospel in every session
• Create a culture of belonging where every child feels welcomed and known
• Foster a fun and engaging environment with high-quality media, activities, interactive classrooms and games

Our prayer is that every child who participates in Village Kids will come to know Jesus personally, build meaningful relationships, grow in their understanding of God’s Word, and develop a strong foundation of faith.
