WHAT IS NEXT GEN?

We use the term “Next Gen” to describe the ministries that endeavor to serve the next generation at Village Church. This includes Village Kids (Sunday Mornings, Birth – 4th Grade), Awana (Monday Evenings, Age 3 – 6th Grade), The 5/6 (Sunday Mornings and Evenings, Grades 5 & 6), and Forge (Thursday Evenings, 7th Grade – 12th Grade). 2025 – 2026 Next Gen Theme

“For we are God’s MASTERPIECE. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago that we should walk in them.” – Ephesians 2:10

During the 2025 – 2026 ministry year, Next Gen will focus on seeing each student we encounter as the masterpiece God has created them to be. Through an intentional focus on recognizing who they have been made to be and helping to reveal that, we cannot wait to see how our students grow in the year ahead. We believe that each student is created with a purpose, and that the hurting, lost world needs them to be a part of growing God’s kingdom. We do not have to create ourselves; God has lovingly created each of us. Becoming these masterpieces is a process fueled by the Holy Spirit and one that takes self-reflection, practice, risk, and vulnerability. We look forward to seeing what the Lord will do in the year ahead.
