Our Commitment
Our goal in Village Kids is to provide a safe, distraction-free, and Christ-centered environment where children can grow in their faith, build relationships, and fully engage in learning.
To help us maintain that focus and ensure the safety of all children, we ask you to follow these guidelines:
Personal Device Policy
We do not permit individual electronic devices for students during all Village Kids activities, including babysitting.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Cell phones
- Smartphones
- Tablets or iPads
- Handheld gaming devices
- Music devices with internet or messaging access
All personal devices should remain at home or be kept with a parent/guardian during ministry programming.
Why We Have This Policy
Our tech-free personal device policy enables us to:
- Minimize distractions during lessons and activities
- Promote face-to-face interaction and relationship-building
- Protect children’s privacy and safety
- Reduce the risk of inappropriate content sharing
- Maintain a focused, respectful environment
Communication with Parents
If a parent/guardian needs to reach their child during ministry time, they may:
- Speak directly with the Kids Ministry check-in team
- Notify a ministry leader in advance of any special circumstances
In case of emergency, we will contact parents immediately using the information provided at check-in.
Special Circumstances
If a child requires a device for medical or specific approved needs, parents must notify a member of the Village Kid’s Core Team in advance so appropriate arrangements can be made.
Thank you for partnering with us to create a safe and focused environment for all children.
